A new chapter in the medical history of New York City begins this month. The newly formed New York Spine Society will bring together leading New York spine surgeons. New York City has long been a national center of excellence for medical care in America. Home to some of the country's most respected hospitals, it is only natural that the city attracts some of America's leading surgeons.

Dr. Jeffrey Goldstein, a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery and neurosurgery at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, recently organized the inaugural New York Spine Society (NYSS) meeting. This event, scheduled for October 24, aims to bring together spine surgeons from across New York for education, networking, and collaboration in an informal setting.

The meeting, which will be held in Midtown East, Manhattan (the heart of NYC), and will feature a keynote presentation by Robin Young, the founder and editor emeritus of Orthopedics This Week (OTW). Mr. Young will present the latest findings from OTW’s State of Spine Companies and Technology Outlook. With years of experience analyzing spine surgery and advancements in orthopedic technology, his insights are widely respected within the industry.

Dr. Goldstein’s vision for the New York Spine Society is to foster a community among spine specialists where knowledge can be shared, and professional relationships can be built. As a leader in spine surgery education at NYU Langone Orthopedics, His role in organizing this event aligns with his long-term commitment to advancing the field and supporting the growth of fellow surgeons.

We expect this inaugural meeting of the New York Spine Society (NYSS) to be a memorable event, setting the stage for exciting developments in the future. With a region as vast and influential as metro New York—larger than some states—we are confident that this gathering will lead to impactful collaborations and advancements in the field.
